Weekend Wear: 50-60% Off Spring Finds from Ann Taylor Factory

It's a little chilly for the beach today (just 60-some degrees here with a bit of a breeze. Sorry, spring breakers!), but it's the perfect temp for some spring sale shopping! 😎 Ann Taylor Factory is having a 50% off sale store-wide, plus 60% off dresses. 👗 Scroll through to see a few outfits I made with fresh pieces from their inventory.

I don't work for Ann Taylor. I'm just a long-term fan of their clothes with lots of bonus points on my Ann card.

Navy striped off the shoulder top on markdown:
Pairs well with a choker or long necklace. Here I went for a chic wannabe French babe look with a strawberry-print scarf from LOFT, similar styles available here. There are so many beautiful scarf options to choose from. I would usually do a more colorful scarf but I intend to wear this look with a red lip (and maybe a beret and a baguette?) so I wanted a scarf that coordinated without taking away from the whole look. This top is so comfy and so cute on. I actually asked if I could try it on after seeing it on a very curvy woman. It looked amazing on her (I mean AMAZING), and to my joy, it looked good on me too! Off the shoulder necklines do wonders for visually balancing out fuller hips if that's your thing like it is mine. Can't wait to wear this top on a much needed date night with Bae. ;)
The pants are Ann Taylor Factory Signature cut ankle pants in misses. I usually wear petite but wanted a longer pair of pants than cropped and these were the perfect length on me. They come in a host of colors and patterns and have great stretch. These are the first non-maternity pants I have willfully worn since my love bug was born almost 13 months ago. They also come in curvy if you have a smallish waist and rounder hips. That used to be me, but after baby, my waist is wider and more in keeping with standard size charts so I went with the Signature versus the Curvy. A size 8 worked where a 10 Petite would usually fit.
The wedges pictured are Alex Marie, which is my favorite brand of shoes. They are well made, SO comfortable, and moderately priced. Here's this season's update on the pair I have. Well worth the price. Once I snagged a pair of Alex Marie nude kitten heels with this outstanding comfort gel insole for just $25 on clearance. I kick myself all the time for not buying every pair left in my size.
You'll quickly discover that I am a devotee of a red handbag for the perfect punctuation of color to any outfit. You'll find similar handbags here and here

Lemon tank with neck detailing. Comes in several colors including mint green and black. Really soft drapey knit that feels cool on.

Signature 5" inseam shorts in dark crosshatch navy. These are the perfect mom length! They are neither camp counselor long nor spring break in Cancun short. They don't ride up. They have pockets. :)

Raspberry cardigan. Available in lots of colors. Coordinating camis available too. These are perfect to wear to an office all summer long (who keeps messing with the A/C???)

For fun, I tied a bow with a scarf. If the scarf would fit all the way around me, I would wear it as a belt but since it doesn't. I just looped the scarf through one of the front belt loops and tied a floppy bow. Kinda cute and a great way to incorporate some color and pattern into the outfit. Find a similar style here

This dress! It's a beautiful floral, and I never thought it would look great on me since I am pale, but this dress could flatter any skin tone, hair color, or age. I'll be rocking this frock next weekend for Easter church and brunch and to an upcoming wedding at Atalaya Castle. Yup. We have a beautiful beach castle here in SC and it is available for weddings.

This floral print also comes in a scarf, a top, and a pencil skirt so if this dress isn't as versatile for you, try it in one of its other iterations. The necklace is also Ann Taylor Factory and on clearance for just $14.99

Clutch came from TJ Maxx and shoes were a great Belk clearance find. These would look great too.

This dress does some wonderful things for the body. Here it is on me. If you are at all pear-shaped, this dress artfully minimizes the lower half with darker shades and balances your smaller top half with lighter colors. The black band across the middle makes for one chic, slim waistline. This dress is not lined so I will likely wear my Spanx to ensure no belly bumps interrupt the sleek look of the dress.

Dresses are a wonderful value because with a single item, you have an outfit. I love the ease and speed of one-piece dressing too! This one is ideal for the office but can certainly dress itself up for conferences, cocktails, or more casual weddings.

See my post about how to style this dress several ways.
