Polka Dot Party Dress Styled 5 Ways

Hey hey hey! As promised, I've styled the so cute Ann Taylor Factory polka dot party dress a handful of ways. Scroll through the album for hints and ideas. This dress is a total classic and a steal for just $47.99 right now. This dress is available in both petite and missy and is sized XS-XL. Mine is a Medium Petite for reference. I love that it has an A-line fit without a defined waist so it is really comfortable. The fabric is light and fully lined. Melissa Smith is the manager at Ann Taylor Factory in North Myrtle Beach, and she would be happy to help you find your size or order one for you. Phone(843) 839-9099
I only touched on a few ways to style this dress and there are countless others. It would look beautiful with this season's blush pink accessories or a pop of canary yellow. You can wear it to work with a blazer. It's so versatile that I know you'll enjoy wearing it lots of ways to lots of places.
-Brunch with the girls
-Date night
-Concert
-Cook out
-Easter
-Mother's Day
-Graduation
-Derby Party
-Shower

Super cute and easy breezy dressing here! Belting didn't shorten the hem too much (still mom-appropriate) and shortening the hemline just a bit really helps make petite legs look longer. The jean jacket is another wardrobe staple that can work with many mom-friendly looks. Find it here at LOFT. :)F

I love the idea of polka dots for cocktail attire. I paired it with rhinestone laceup heels by Stuart Weitzman (they came from The Foxy Lady) and did rhinestone earrings and cuff. The key to wearing this to a fancy dress party is making sure that you are comfortable attracting attention because this dress will pop amid a sea of black dresses. Making the look work means doing very clean and youthful makeup. I would do hair in a chic topknot and wear understated and fresh looking makeup like a medium pink lip (which will make you look younger) and a healthy flush of blush. If you want to go all out glam with a red lip, keep your eyes toned down with a champagne shadow and two coats of black mascara.

A little Kate Spade-inspired preppiness here. I added a green skinny belt and a raspberry cardigan plus I got to playing around with a brooch and ribbon and made a little accessory. This would go so many great places like Easter church service, brunch, a shower, mother's day, graduation, a wedding, a derby party. Find a similar shoe here.

If I had this to do over, I would swap out my footwear. I love these leather flower wedges but in this picture they remind me of vintage bedroom slippers. :) Hehe. Nonetheless, I love the dress topped with a longer sweater like this Sarah style from Lularoe. Here is a similar style clutch.

  2. It is a great get up! So many places the stress can go. My favorite part is how comfortable it feels on. Loose but not frumpy looking.
